The Bakery Clerk provides exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Bakery Department. This role is responsible for maintaining attractive and well-stocked displays, preparing and packaging products, assisting customers with orders and inquiries, and upholding Eddie’s standards for quality, freshness, cleanliness, and presentation.

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product selection, special orders, and inquiries
• Package, label, price, and stock bakery products for display and sale
• Maintain bakery trays, display cases, ingredient bins, and merchandising areas to ensure products are fresh, organized, and visually appealing
• Finish bakery items such as doughnuts and pastries through filling, icing, and decorating preparation
• Operate department equipment including scales and label printers accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning counters, cases, work areas, and equipment
• Support promotional efforts, seasonal programs, and holiday production needs in partnership with department leadership
• Promote products by sharing product knowledge and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions
• Assist with baking operations and learn the proper use of commercial bakery equipment and ovens
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, organization, and efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Prior bakery, food service, grocery, or retail experience preferred, but not required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
• Professional demeanor with the ability to handle customer concerns courteously and effectively
• Ability to maintain reliable attendance and schedule flexibility as business needs require
• Ability to follow company appearance and dress code standards

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Compensation is based on years of relevant experience, demonstrated customer service ability, and overall ability to multitask.
