• An interest and understanding of the shipping industry or foreign trade.
• Willingness to travel out of metro and out of state locations and cities.
• Strong relationship with team mates to help link sales and operations in your business.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Be comfortable qualifying prospects and making multiple calls/visits per day.
• Desire to learn and continue to grow your knowledge.
• Disciplined and organized. Results focused/driven.
• Politely persistent in actions and follow-up to close sales.
• Ability to plan and organize your time effectively.
• Professional conduct and presentation of yourself.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Meeting and exceeding new business sales performance targets.
• Weekly reporting of sales activity to the Branch Manager.
• Completing minimum 20 outside sales calls per week.
• Pricing your sales opportunities to win business.
• Travelling to surrounding states cities and states on a regular and reoccurring schedule.
• Utilizing internal CRM for opportunities, calls and gains.
• Generating leads for our partners and colleagues.
