Position Overview
Under the direction of the District Manager, the Direct VM Sales Rep hunts for new business through cold‑stops, cold calling, and networking, performing various sales‑related duties and providing support per company policies. This role sells into vertical commercial markets such as multi‑family housing, hospitality, schools/universities, athletics, country clubs, and corporate fitness facilities.

DescriptionAs a Direct VM Sales Rep, you will work within your designated territory, hunting for new business opportunities, managing assigned vertical market channels, and conducting outbound sales calls and visits to prospects. You will also showcase Matrix Fitness tours, meet monthly goals for site visits and new opportunity volume, manage incoming sales orders, provide accurate reports to management, and attend periodic industry trade shows.

- Manage assigned vertical market channels within designated territory
- Outbound sales calls and visits to prospects for new direct business
- Conduct Matrix Fitness showcase tours for existing and potential customers
- Meet monthly goal for number of prospective customer site visits and new opportunities volume
- Manage incoming sales orders in conjunction with our inside sales team
- Regularly provide management with accurate reports
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within territory
- Work with other sales representatives within the territory
- Follow all related procedures & policies
- Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel
- Other projects as assigned
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate’s degree with a combination of experience required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field.
- At least one year of outside sales experience with a proven track record in new business development.
- Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
- Sales forecasting and reporting capability required.
- Success while working remotely, independently, or autonomously.
- Relationships within the multi‑family / developer / property management field preferred.
- Relationships within schools / universities preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer required.
- Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred.
- Driver’s license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.
