Account Executive
The Account Executive role is responsible for navigating a predominantly greenfield geographic territory, executing top‑of‑funnel activities and prospecting while managing a complex sales cycle (approximately 6‑12 months) to a successful close.
Responsibilities- Navigate a complex sales cycle from start to finish, leveraging internal resources within the larger sales organization and cross‑functionally with customer‑success teams and externally across customer and partner ecosystems.
- Deliver strong presentations in‑person and virtually to line‑of‑business and IT audiences, highlighting client discovery, ROI, and building business value.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and colleagues, leveraging multiple stakeholders throughout complex deals.
- Actively seek to understand industry trends and position Appian against competitors.
- 7+ years of direct selling experience and a minimum of 2 years as an Enterprise Account Executive selling complex enterprise technologies.
- Proven track record of consistent quota achievement and landing new customer logos.
- Strong job tenure with a history of loyalty and perseverance through long, stable employment and a positive career trajectory.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $225,000 per year. Compensation is dependent on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Eligible for commission plans. Certain positions may also be eligible for equity awards.
