Area Sales Manager – Mid-Atlantic (VA, DC, MD)
Location:Location: Virginia, Washington DC & Maryland Territory
Salary:Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 Base Salary + 20% Annual Bonus
The OpportunityWe are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to lead business development and account management activities across the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for a $20M revenue territory
, focused on driving specification and sales growth within the commercial glazing and architectural construction market.
The successful candidate will develop and strengthen relationships with General Contractors, Glazing Contractors, Architects, and Facade Consultants
, helping secure major commercial and mixed-use developments throughout Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.
Projects typically range from 20,000 sq.ft to 400,000 sq.ft
, including office developments, mixed-use buildings, healthcare facilities, education projects, hospitality, and high-rise construction.
- Manage and grow an established territory generating approximately $20M in annual revenue
- Develop strategic relationships with General Contractors, Glazers, Architects, and key project stakeholders
- Drive product specification and influence project decisions early in the construction lifecycle
- Identify and secure new project opportunities within commercial and mixed-use developments
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across all stages of the project cycle
- Collaborate closely with estimating, project management, operations, and customer service teams
- Conduct regular customer visits, project reviews, presentations, and site meetings
- Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and upcoming construction opportunities
- Deliver revenue growth while maintaining strong customer retention and satisfaction
- Proven experience in architectural glass, facade systems, glazing, building envelope products, or related commercial construction materials
- Demonstrated success managing contractor, architect, and glazing relationships
- Strong network across the Mid-Atlantic construction market preferred
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self‑motivated and comfortable operating remotely within a territory‑based role
