We are seeking an individual to promote and develop business in the Industrial Air Filtration Division’s sphere of expertise and area of operation with a view to keeping abreast with and improving Donaldson Filtration Systems’ overall turnover and profit forecasts across Africa.
Role Responsibilities- Promotion of new business opportunities from within designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts development of OE Equipment & Projects.
- Servicing existing business opportunities from within designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts.
- Assisting in the development of spares and servicing business in the designated geographic areas of responsibility and strategic accounts.
- Collection and interpretation of information from customers to produce a well-engineered and accurately costed solution according to client specific needs.
- Presentation of solutions to clients.
- Selection and preliminary design of dust extraction solutions.
- Keeping abreast with company product developments and their areas of opportunity.
- Achieving / Exceeding Sales Targets.
- Follow up and closure of all business opportunities.
- Production of business opportunities and follow up reports.
- Maintenance of business opportunity recording and filing systems.
- Re‑Seller development.
- Development into Niche Markets identified with new and existing customers.
- Maintain CRM records of sales activities.
Travel:
Up to 50%
- Engineering Qualification / Mechanical or Process.
- At least 5 years or more experience in a technical sales role, preferably dust extraction.
- Previous experience in markets such as Mining, Metal Fabrication, Food & Bev, Agriculture, Pharma.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven external sales track record.
- Commercial sales knowledge.
- Confident and determined approach.
- Self-motivated and driven and must be able to perform under pressure environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
