Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Regular, Sales Specialist to identify and develop Merchant Services sales opportunities within a specialized market. The role requires a consultative sales approach to help business clients assess their payment processing needs and deliver comprehensive solutions. The position is based in the United States of America, works the 1st shift, and requires fluency in English (Required).
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Execute the sales plan and develop strong partnerships with internal partners to identify and drive client and prospect sales opportunities, achieving or exceeding revenue and portfolio growth objectives for the assigned client portfolio.
- Foster relationships with bankers, product partners, and other stakeholders to collaborate on opportunities and engage in strategic client planning.
- Focus on new business development by selling payment processing solutions to existing clients and prospects, proactively engaging the market and consulting with clients to identify payment processing needs and deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Participate in the development of detailed relationship plans for clients and prospects within the assigned client group to identify key retention and new client acquisition opportunities.
- Provide client working capital services and solutions focused on receivables.
- Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures and proactively raise issues and risks to leadership.
- Consult with clients through various communication methods (e.g., in‑person, email, voicemail, virtual meeting) in an effective manner.
- Report accurately on sales efforts, progress, and revenue.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- 5+ years of sales experience in financial or payments products and/or services.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively and confidently.
- Proven experience working across departments and lines of business within large financial organizations.
- Growth mindset to adapt and resolve complex issues.
- Mentor teammates to help them grow within their roles.
- Must be able to travel.
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant banking experience through prior employment or training programs.
- Industry certifications relating to Merchant Services.
- Formal sales training.
- 10+ years of sales experience in financial or payments products and/or services.
The annual base salary for this position is $105,000 – $155,000, with additional incentive pay available.
