Sales Development Representative II

Job Description Summary

As a member of a sales team, the sales development representative is responsible for prospecting net new business within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. They vet new business opportunities and develop value propositions.

• Targets new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer’s supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives and analyzing customer needs.
• Utilizes suggested calls and other data‑driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities via call cycling and customer visits.
• Maintains regular and consistent communication with manager and peers within the Sales organization related to joint sales call opportunities, etc. in support of new/incremental revenue.
• Maintains a healthy pipeline of new leads, completes successful calls on those leads and works to schedule opportunity handoff calls.
• Navigates internal, cross‑functional processes to coordinate and collaborate on support and solutions with internal teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
• Collaborates with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations and other areas as appropriate to identify issues and develop/implement solutions to support growth of revenue.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree/equivalent OR Four (4) years of business‑to‑business sales experience OR one (1) year of the company’s business‑to‑business sales experience required.

• Communication skills, presentation skills, product knowledge, resilience with prospecting and lead qualification, time management, organization, self‑motivation, adaptability, business acumen, experience leveraging technology.

• Moderate overnight travel required.

Quantifiable & measurable sales achievements; sales experience using digital tools/CRM; collaboration across multiple functions.

Pay range for the position: $2,529.28 - $5,014.64.

This is a customer‑facing role that requires regular in‑person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50‑mile radius of Baltimore, MD / Dover, DE or surrounding cities within the territory.
