Role Overview

The Mitsubishi Electric Specialist creates and supports business development programs, brand and sales development, inventory planning, product launches, and internal and external training. This role responds to market trends to grow Mitsubishi Electric sales and market share within the authorized Northeastern Supply footprint.

Core Responsibilities Contractor Development & Training
  • Create a strategic plan for business development, sales growth, marketing, and training for Ductless Pros (DPs) in coordination with Northeastern Supply HVAC leadership.
  • Conduct product and program presentations to recruit, retain, and develop contractors; complete six Contractor Development classroom presentations annually.
  • Partner with Northeastern Supply Outside Sales Associates and Mitsubishi sales team to complete yearly planning and sales reviews with all Elite & Preferred DPs and 75% of all DP contractors by February 28th each year.
  • Work with the service team to schedule M&P classes and support contractor development through Distributor Portal, DSB, LMS e‑learning, and product update training.
Marketing & Business Development
  • Develop, implement, and monitor local Spring and Fall advertising campaigns with Preferred and Elite DPs in conjunction with Northeastern Supply Outside Sales Associates and Mitsubishi sales team.
  • Educate contractors on proper use of CO‑OP funds; target 50% of DPs directing CO‑OP toward lead‑generating activities or brand promotion assets.
  • Assist Outside Sales Associates and the Mitsubishi marketing team in scheduling and completing DP marketing consults; coordinate third‑party business development classes as needed.
  • Integrate Mitsubishi representation into the spring dealer meeting, branch open houses, and other customer‑facing events.
Branch Support & Sales Growth
  • Drive branch development training and merchandising programs for identified target branches; design and promote branch events leveraging Mitsubishi assets.
  • Achieve yearly incremental branch growth goal for M&P products; develop and leverage incentive programs to promote branch‑level sales growth.
  • Assist with identification, tracking, and closing of Mitsubishi commercial opportunities in coordination with the commercial and outside sales team.
  • Write quotes and orders for commercial and residential products as needed; actively provide DSB support to Outside Sales Associates and contractors.
  • Provide quarterly cost of goods sold reports for both Ductless Pro and branch levels to the Mitsubishi sales team.
  • Work with Purchasing Manager and Product/Brand Manager to review inventory, forecast demand, and create or refine branch minimums.
  • Provide HVAC leadership with monthly inventory status reports; promote utility and manufacturer rebate programs.
  • Complete and review the DP Balanced Performance Scorecard action plan with 100% of Preferred and Elite DPs; assist with action plan follow‑up by December 31st each year.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred; 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Sales‑driven with strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel; comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel 25–50% within the Northeastern Supply territory.
  • Ability to attend corporate headquarters meetings two to four times per month.
