Description
Position SummaryThe Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales activities, from lead generation through close by interacting with established customers and developing new accounts. Works with the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with the company vision and values. This position is primarily remote; however, employees will be assigned to and support one of the company's markets based on geographic location:
Baltimore, Washington, DC, New York City, or Connecticut.
Job Duties
- Sources new customers and generates qualified leads
- Build strong customer relationships by routinely and systematically making face-to-face sales calls to the Customer base.
- Present company presentations focused mainly on the products and services while on site.
- Respond to customer phone inquiries in a prompt, courteous, and concise manner.
- Serve customers by providing product and service information and resolving problems.
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Open customer accounts by recording account information.
- Enter customer orders with accuracy and assure customer satisfaction.
- Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products.
- Present the range of prices on the particular product or services.
- Make follow-up calls to customers to ensure that the customers are satisfied.
- Maintain close contact with customers, resolve certain issues and answer relevant questions.
- Meet personal/sales team targets and call handling quotas.
- Strong sense of urgency
- Work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple quotes simultaneously.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability for regional daily travel within our delivery footprint three days a week.
- Sales professionals with a hunter mentality.
- Previous experience with sales and business development.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships and engage with prospects.
- Outstanding telephone, presentation, time management, and computer skills

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training.
Three (3) or more years of sales, marketing, or food industry experience.
Prior experience working in the food industry is a plus.
Proficiency in using all Microsoft Office software products:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, PowerPoint.
