Director of Sales - HVAC

We're working on a confidential search for an established HVAC distribution business looking to bring in a Director of Sales to lead its outside sales team.

They've built a strong reputation stocking more product than most competitors and getting it into customers' hands fast, with warehouse space spread across several locations. The next step is bringing in a dedicated leader to take that sales team and sharpen it into a real, disciplined operation.

What you'll be stepping into;

• You're not building from scratch. The business already has the inventory, the reputation, and a team of account managers in place.
• The focus is on tightening that team-up, coaching them, holding them to a real cadence, and driving consistent growth.
• Setting direction, staying close to the biggest accounts, and making sure what's promised gets delivered.

Where you'll spend your time;

• Owning revenue and margin performance across the Distribution Account Manager team
• Coaching and developing people, not just managing a number
• Staying personally involved in key accounts and the tougher customer situations
• Partnering with marketing and HR to build out the team

What they're looking for;

• Someone who has spent a decade or more selling and leading teams in HVAC or a closely adjacent distribution business
• At least 5 years directly managing a sales team, with a track record of developing people
• Comfort in consultative, B2B selling
• Credibility that comes from influence, not title
