QM Associate Scientist [Entry Level]

12+ Months Contract

1st Shift 7:30am-4pm, Monday - Friday

This is mainly an entry level position and I’m looking for people newly out of college with a BS in Biology or related science field.

• Responsible for microbiology testing in peptone manufacturing, raw material products, and final DCM testing as required.
• Perform testing of various microorganisms in a Biosafety Level II/III laboratory with strict adherence to safety policies.
• Work in a clean room environment and meet validation requirements associated with donning and doffing clean room garments.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and work effectively with large multifunctional teams.
• Microbiology testing of prepared media as well as preparing various media from scratch.
• Apply knowledge of microbiology and biochemistry as it relates to bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
• Problem‑solve and make independent decisions.
• Identify and analyze problems; have basic analytical skills and be familiar with database and statistical software.

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Molecular, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology in a laboratory setting.
• Basic knowledge in a broad range of laboratory techniques.
• Experience handling biological or chemical samples and knowledge of GLP.
• Knowledge of industry regulations FDA, GMP/QSR, ISO.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in a team environment.
• History of self‑motivation with a background in biological lab science.
• Preference for knowledge of Lean or Six‑sigma tools.
