Overview
The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center / Department of Oncology is seeking applicants for the Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the growth and expansion of a multidisciplinary group, building program, mentorship, and scholarship, and providing leadership to faculty focused on patient care and research. The Director will interact with groundbreaking researchers at Johns Hopkins.
ResponsibilitiesThe faculty candidate will lead phase I, II, and/or III clinical trials investigating novel therapeutics in head and neck cancer, and may conduct patient-oriented research. Successful applicants should develop a portfolio of innovative clinical or translational research in head and neck cancer, work with faculty focused on upper aerodigestive cancer research, and lead multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
QualificationsIdeal candidates are established researchers at Associate Professor or Professor level with a focus on head and neck cancers (HPV+ & HPV- squamous cell carcinoma, salivary gland cancers, thyroid cancers), and a focus on clinical trials and translational research. Candidates should have experience in collaborative research, education, and program building. Research interests may include small molecules, immunotherapies, cellular therapies, etc. Eligibility for licensure in the State of Maryland is required.
SalarySalary range: $210,000 – $295,800 per year (base pay by faculty rank and years in rank). Additional components may be included in the faculty compensation program and incentive compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on multiple factors.
