Job Summary
Manager, Contracts for the Identification and Interrogator Products (IIP) program within the Collins Mission Systems Strategic Business Unit. The role focuses on proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution for the U.S. Government, prime contractors, and international customers, primarily for fixed‑price production and repair contracts.
Responsibilities- Lead contract development, including proposals, negotiations, agreements, and day‑to‑day administration.
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies.
- Effectively manage contractual scope, terms, and conditions to ensure work is performed in accordance with the overall contract scope.
- Develop and enhance positive customer relationships and resolve contractual matters.
- Communicate with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance.
- Leverage relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to close complex contractual issues and achieve business results.
- University degree (or advanced degree) with at least 8 years of related experience (or 5 years with an advanced degree).
- Capability to obtain or hold an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret).
- Experience in defense contracting, including administration and management of fixed‑price production, upgrade, and repair contracts.
- Direct experience in proposal development, including sole‑source and competitive pursuits, fact‑finding, and negotiations.
- Direct commercial sales (DCS) experience, international contracting, and global customer engagement.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- International business experience with European, Middle Eastern, and Asian customers.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Aberdeen, Maryland, U.S. Hybrid – employees work regularly both onsite and offsite; onsite ratio determined in partnership with the leader.
Security ClearanceActive Secret DoD security clearance is required, and candidates must be U.S. citizens or eligible for a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
