Security Officer
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Security Officer for our Security Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, physicians and volunteers.
- Ensure quality outcomes for the security department by communicating effectively with security staff and the public.
- Conduct foot patrols of the facility and parking areas.
- Conduct vehicular patrols of the parking areas and off‑site locations.
- Assist with restraining violent patients.
- Use time and resources in a financially responsible manner.
- Foster group cohesiveness within the security department.
- Portray a positive image of the organization.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Must possess a US Driver’s License.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Must be able to respond to physically demanding emergency calls.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week (8:00AM–4:30PM). Required every weekend rotation with days off during the week, following the company holiday calendar. No on‑call. Shift differential is eligible.
CompensationPay Range: $19.21–$24.90 per hour.
FLSA ClassificationUnder the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as United States of America (Non‑Exempt).
