Part‑time, On‑site.
We Catholic Charities of Baltimore are seeking a Program Assistant to provide security to the facility by inspecting persons and property of visitors and clients prior to entrance, conduct ongoing security checks, and provide services to guests in a dignified manner. The assistant will maintain a safe and secure environment, monitor compliance, report incidents, and handle emergency situations.
Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and secure environment inside and outside properties for clients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
- Monitor compliance with policies; report incidents, write violations, and intervene in emergencies.
- Assist with orientation of residents and volunteers; observe behaviors and report to supervisor.
- Maintain logs and files related to various programs; record entries accurately.
- Monitor building activity to ensure safety, security and policy compliance.
- React to emergency situations appropriately and professionally.
- One year of related experience, preferably working with homeless or at‑risk populations.
- Physical capability to move throughout the building and grounds, including stairs, and lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand 90% of the shift and work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification within six months of employment.
- Serv Safe® (ODB, Sarah’s House and WHRC – 402000) within six months of employment.
