Unarmed Security Officer

Overview

No two shifts are identical when protecting Baltimore's businesses. Enterprise Security Services Corporation, a women-owned and minority-owned firm with over 30 years of security experience, is currently hiring Unarmed Security Officers to cover client locations throughout the Baltimore metro area. We are seeking dependable professionals who take ownership of the environments they are responsible for protecting.

Where you'll work

Officers will support a range of client sites across Baltimore, including retail stores, shopping centers, office buildings, and comparable venues. Assignments are determined based on coverage requirements, so the designated worksite may vary between assignments. We are hiring individuals who can work reliably at locations within and around the city.

Responsibilities

• Establish a visible, professional presence that deters theft and disorder
• Conduct regular foot patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Manage access control and direct visitors at entry points
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to any irregularities
• Intervene to de-escalate conflicts and manage disturbances with composure
• Coordinate with store or property management throughout the shift
• Prepare accurate and thorough incident reports and shift logs

Requirements

• Possess or be able to obtain Maryland security guard certification, processed through our licensed agency in accordance with Maryland State Police requirements
• Meet Maryland's minimum age and eligibility standards for security work
• Pass a thorough criminal background check
• Reliable means of commuting to assigned sites across the Baltimore area
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to stand and conduct patrols for extended periods
• Basic first aid or CPR certification is advantageous, though not required

Uniform & equipment

A clean Class A black uniform is required (ability to obtain). Radios or other equipment may be issued as needed.

Schedule

Coverage may include mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
