Mechanic Parts Runner

Seeking a Mechanic Parts Runner for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD.

Pay is between $20 - $23 per hour (based on experience)

The Mechanic Parts Runner is responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair team by sourcing, picking up, delivering, and organizing parts and supplies needed to keep equipment and vehicles operating efficiently. This role ensures mechanics have the correct parts in a timely manner, helping to reduce downtime and maintain smooth operations.

• Pick up, deliver, and distribute parts, tools, and supplies to mechanics and job sites as needed
• Verify parts orders for accuracy, including part numbers and quantities
• Communicate with mechanics, supervisors, and vendors regarding parts needs and availability
• Maintain organized storage of parts and supplies in the shop and stockroom
• Track parts usage and assist with inventory counts and restocking
• Return unused or incorrect parts to vendors when required
• Keep company vehicle clean and report maintenance needs
• Follow all safety policies and company procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Basic knowledge of automotive or heavy equipment parts
• At least one year of experience in parts and inventory management
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Strong attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment
• Ability to work as a team

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Frequent driving to vendors and job sites.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds at times.
