Fire Alarm Technician

, a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, is a full-service fire protection contractor with complete design, installation, inspection, testing and maintenance capability.

As a result of continued growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD.

• Repair, serve, troubleshoot and install fire alarm system, voice/evacuation & power extender panels, annunciators & fire alarm dialers.
• Knowledge of different types of panels and how to access programming features.
• Troubleshooting knowledge of field wiring and output circuits.
• Ability to read and use a multi-meter properly.
• Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers.
• Obtain and/or maintain NICET certification.
• Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis.

• Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity with Firelite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell & Siemens systems.
• Travel between customer sites daily within the Baltimore & Washington, DC metropolitan areas.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic electrical skills.

• NICET.
• Any specific manufacturer factory training certification or license.
• Journeyman or Master’s electrical license.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (library or public office) or moderate (business office with computers and light traffic).
• Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.

$20-$35 per hour, dependent on experience.
