i2G specializes in advanced physical electronic security and life safety solutions, providing surveillance, access control, intrusion detection systems, biometrics, fence sensors, radars, ground sensors, anti‑drone technologies, and more. This position will be embedded within multiple data centers to provide ongoing maintenance and repair of electronic security devices and door hardware. Technicians will work alongside client personnel, external vendors, and their clients.
A successful Embedded Electronic Security Technician can work independently, provide daily updates of ticket work performed, and seek support from the team manager as needed.
- Execute, track, and update ticket assignments.
- Be professional in client interactions with a focus on excellent communication.
- Coordinate with stakeholders involved with tickets.
- Read and understand written specifications, drawings, and controlling documents and maintain accurate documentation.
- Record changes made to systems for accurate change management.
- Perform user training when improper user operation is observed.
- Perform all work consistently with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure repairs are tested with clients and accepted before closing tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of general access control systems;
Genetec, Lenel, and Mercury preferred. - Experience utilizing diagnostic tools such as a multimeter, line toner, cable tester, etc.
- Ability to use boom and scissor lift equipment and/or platform ladders.
- Skills using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Creative and resourceful problem‑solving skills for uncommon applications.
- Strong organization, time‑management, and attention to detail.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Customer focus and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug screening.
- Clean criminal background.
- Ability to obtain Virginia DCJS Electronic Security Technician registration within 90 days of hire.
