Purpose

The purpose of this position is to conduct testing, basic troubleshooting, alignment, maintaining, integration and repair of electronic equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot electronic system failures to the component level.
  • Work with Senior Electronic Technicians to fulfill internal/external customer requirements, including event and trailer requirements.
  • Solder various surface mount and through-hole components.
  • Diagnose potential causes of equipment malfunction using knowledge of equipment and/or technical drawings.
  • Assist remote operations personnel with technical troubleshooting of simple problems, referring complex problems to Senior Electronic Technicians.
  • Repair and calibrate equipment as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RF communication equipment.
  • Demonstrate interdisciplinary cooperation by collaborating with other departments to solve cross-departmental issues.
  • Build, install, maintain, and/or troubleshoot various forms of RF, fiber, and power cables.
  • Maintain an operational test bench with various test equipment.
Position Requirements
  • Technical degree in electronics field or sufficient training and experience to perform the essential functions of the position is required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in electronic maintenance environment is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings and instructions.
  • Knowledge of two-way radios and RF communication systems.
  • Ability to work with various hand tools.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Basic understanding of installing and updating software.
  • Knowledge of video signals and test patterns.
  • Proficient in use of test equipment as required in assigned area of responsibility.
