Position Duties- Conduct inspections of structural components of buildings, including roofs, doors, walls, windows, ceilings, and floors.
- Conduct seasonal inspection of resident rooms to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Respond to repair requests, troubleshoot problems, and make necessary repairs.
- Perform repairs to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors, and other building surfaces.
- Assist with renovations and remodeling work as needed using hand and power tools.
- Install drywall, prepare for paint, and paint surfaces as required.
- Fit, install, and maintain door and window hardware.
- Operate, maintain, and ensure adequate supplies, tools, power tools, materials, and equipment of the trade or area where assigned.
- Prepare requisitions and obtain materials needed to complete assigned projects.
- Ensure cost effective use of materials allocated.
- Ensure adequate supplies, materials, and equipment are maintained in assigned areas.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Ensure operational readiness and safety of work areas, tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Clean work area upon completion of assignment.
- Assist with snow plowing and snow/ice removal campus-wide as required and directed.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
High school diploma or GED.

Drivers LicenseValid Drivers License.
Work Experience3-5 years.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to perform repairs to structural components of buildings, including dry walling and painting.
- Ability to use power tools.
- Must be able to successfully complete driver’s clearance process.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to rotate through on-call duties, covering evenings and weekends per the on-call procedures and guidelines.

The work involves regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, working in confined spaces, and lifting or carrying moderately heavy (20–50 pounds) items and occasionally very heavy (100 pounds or over) items. Exposure to chemicals, dust, fumes, cold, heat, noise, vibrations, or dampness may occur. Work may require exposure to dangerous equipment and machinery.
Protective clothing or gear such as earplugs, hard hats, masks, gloves, insulated clothing, boots, and coats may be required. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolding is necessary.
