Overview

Thehotel HVAC technician installs, repairs, and maintains HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal guest comfort and energy efficiency. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting system malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and responding immediately to guest or staff maintenance requests.

• System Maintenance: Perform routine servicing on Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Roof Top Units (RTUs).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to determine necessary repairs.
• Guest Service: Respond quickly to climate-control complaints in guest rooms with minimal disruption.
• Preventive Checks: Execute scheduled maintenance to clean coils, replace filters, and adjust system controls.
• Refrigerant Management: Monitor refrigerant levels and handle materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Equipment Upkeep: Maintain back-of-house equipment, including walk-in coolers, ice machines, and commercial refrigerators.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of commercial HVAC or general maintenance experience, ideally in the hospitality industry.
• Certifications: EPA certification (Type II or Universal) for refrigerant handling; trade school diploma or relevant state license.

  Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical troubleshooting, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Physical Ability: Capability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and navigate confined spaces or rooftops.
• Communication: Ability to log daily maintenance tasks and communicate technical updates professionally.

$26 - $37 hourly
