Install Technician - Commercial Security Alarm

We are seeking a commercial or industrial Electronic Security Technician to join our federal team supporting the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

Location:

Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. All work is based at this location. No additional travel is required.

Target Pay Range:
Negotiable based on experience.

Shift: First shift, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.

Benefits:
Eligible for benefits on first day of employment. Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 3 floating holidays, 5 sick days, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total).

• Install Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and infrastructure in accordance with the national electrical code, including but not limited to access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include Lenel Onguard, DMP, Milestone, and ICIDS.
• Assist with security system programming and setup.
• Conduct testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs.
• Conduct system testing to the signal‑receiving center to properly establish service.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• Help prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from supervisor.
• Conduct End‑User training.
• Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and/or repairing commercial or industrial integrated/electronic security systems for complex low voltage intrusion, access control, CCTV and digital recording systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
• Capability to use hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment.
• Works well unsupervised and also as part of a team environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense clearance. Active clearance preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency working with Lenel Onguard or DMP.
• Proficiency working with commercial and/or industrial camera systems.
• Experience working with ICIDS (Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System) preferred.

• Lenel certified.
