US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain large truck and skid-mounted core boring drill rigs and ancillary equipment;
Perform wash, rotary, or auger borings at various depths and in all subsurface conditions;
Interpret technical drilling instructions and provide subsurface data to field investigation team, and maintain required reports/logs;
Direct a crew of one or two lower grade workers in gathering equipment, constructing temporary roads, leveling drill sites, and rigging equipment;
Maintain and repair drilling equipment and fabricate adaptations to increase reliability
