Responsibilities- Repair and overhaul refrigerators, heating, and ventilation equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices, to meet customer needs efficiently and accurately.
- Perform general repair on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems such as AC units, condensers, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electric motors in a safe and timely manner.
- Provide preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality work for customers.
- Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills.
- Maintain accurate corporate and personal records of work history.
- Support the department by processing job tickets and work orders promptly.
- Assist with picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
- Perform work on minor construction, remodeling, and startup of new installations.
- Drive company vehicles safely.
- Carry out other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA certification.
- Certification from an accredited vocational‑technical or trade school (plus).
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
- Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets (strong plus).
- Knowledge of single and rack systems, display cases, and walk‑in boxes.
- Good driving record and ability to work independently.
- Basic requirement: emergency on‑call availability.
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs without assistance and sit or stand for several hours.
