To repair and maintain the site electrical distribution systems as well as the electrical power, lighting, and specialty systems for Springfield Hospital Center buildings and grounds in order to maintain a safe and dignified environment for patients and staff. This position will be part of an emergency on-call rotation and is designated as emergency essential.

• Education:
  
  Minimum of eighth grade.
• Experience:
  
  Five years of experience installing, repairing, testing and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and control devices at commercial or residential buildings or other facilities.
• Candidates may substitute additional experience on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
• Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited vocational or technical high school or other vocational or technical school with a concentration in electricity for three years of the required experience.
• Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a non-commissioned officer in construction electrician classifications or construction and engineering specialty codes in the installation and repair of electrical systems, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

• Employees must possess a current Master Electrician license or another appropriate electrician license from a local board or the Maryland State Board of Master Electricians.
• Employees assigned duties requiring the operation of a motor vehicle must possess a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license.

• Employees may be subject to call‑in 24 hours a day and may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.
• Employees designated as Level I or Level II must attend and successfully complete the appropriate asbestos safety and health training as required by Executive Order
