Role Description The Experienced HVAC Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD. This position is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and completing repairs on a wide range of systems. The technician will respond to service calls, inspect equipment, recommend solutions, and ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Daily tasks include documenting work performed, communicating clearly with customers, and coordinating with the office team to schedule jobs and order parts. The role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for HVAC and refrigeration systems, including identifying mechanical and electrical issues.
• Proficiency in maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance, with experience performing scheduled service and corrective repairs on diverse equipment.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of an EPA certification (e.g., EPA 608) or the ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
• Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, explain findings, and provide professional recommendations.
• Relevant experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in both residential and commercial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel to customer sites within the Baltimore, MD area.
• Comfort working in varied environments and weather conditions, with the ability to lift and move equipment as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, apprenticeship completion, or HVAC certification is highly beneficial.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, punctuality, and working both independently and as part of a team.
• Technician with leadership skills and ability to be a Lead Tech or Forman is preferred.
