Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude to join our Dental Service team. This role involves installing and repairing a variety of dental equipment, including computer-related items, while delivering first‑class customer service.

• Observe, listen, learn and apply training from mentors and online courses.
• Safely remove, modify, repair, and install dental equipment under general supervision, progressing to independent work.
• Follow checklists and ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Apply manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable laws and regulations related to asepsis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support customers by responding promptly and professionally, maintaining respectful and considerate interactions.
• Communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences and ask clarifying questions when needed.

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to urgency and persistence.
• Exhibit problem‑solving skills by anticipating needs and finding solutions beyond training.
• Build productive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues; handle difficult situations with professionalism.
• Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and tools and keep the company vehicle inventory current.
• Maintain a quality driving record and schedule regular vehicle maintenance to ensure a safe fleet.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Commitment to ownership of company and customer goals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and/or use of a smartphone/tablet.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

• Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics.
• Excellent organization and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Physical demands may include remaining stationary or driving up to 100% of the day, lifting boxes or supplies up to 25 pounds up to 75% of the day, and positioning to install or maintain equipment. You may need to climb steps or ladders occasionally.

The position requires traveling to customer locations for services. Travel is 100% local with occasional overnight or after‑hours assignments out of town.
