Maintenance Technician – Baltimore County, MD
Salary: $45,760 per year.
Position Type:
Associate – W2 | Duration: DH
- Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the buildings and property.
- Document and keep records of all routine and emergency maintenance, informing the Service Supervisor of incidents.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, safety protocols, Fair Housing, and applicable laws.
- Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, household appliances, and fixtures independently.
- Provide excellent customer service, completing resident service requests within 24 hours of initial call and addressing move‑in checklist deficiencies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all mechanical systems.
- Inspect alarm systems such as carbon monoxide and fire protection, scheduling repairs promptly.
- Contribute to teamwork at both the property and company levels.
- Commit to a 24‑hour on‑call schedule assigned by the Manager, responding by phone within 15 minutes and in person within 30 minutes.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Respond to winter weather events (snow, ice, and other emergencies).
- Perform snow removal, salting, shoveling, and pretreating.
- Keep the maintenance shop neat and organized daily.
- Handle key management securely, not handing keys to unauthorized persons.
- Bring necessary tools to complete all jobs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Capacity to lift up to fifty pounds.
- Workable in hot and cold environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle use for scheduled shifts.
- Reliable contact information (phone, email).
- Work at various company locations/properties if required.
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, and other systems.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Use hand and power tools proficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
