Payment: $24.50 - $26.50 per hour (starting); full range $24.50 - $41.65 per hour.
Job Overview
Lead property maintenance and ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective work for store assets, including plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, life safety, power, and electrical systems. Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with store leadership to meet financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and safely execute preventive and corrective maintenance on building assets and equipment.
- Complete work within compliance standards and Target guidelines.
- Work with vendors to ensure timely completion of their work.
- Align project work with PM priorities and financial goals.
- Utilize technology to create, troubleshoot, prioritize, and safely complete work orders.
- Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and correct equipment hazards.
- Teach and train store team on safety procedures.
- Inform and engage store leadership on PM workload priorities.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of best practices through onboarding and learning.
- Assist in special projects, remodels, and support PM assets and service strategies.
- Ensure internal and external work orders are completed safely and efficiently.
- Assist in managing emergency situations.
- Promote inclusivity and create equitable experiences.
- Complete other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- 1+ year of technical education or experience in electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing.
- Basic technical skills with property assets: door repair, HVAC filter change, carpentry, power equipment repair, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating power tools, HVAC, wet/dry vacuum, and other powered equipment.
- Strong vendor management skills ensuring accountability and quality service.
- Effective communication and use of technology.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks independently, and provide support to store team.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
