This role operates heavy equipment to safely and efficiently load a high volume of trucks with dirt at a busy site in Curtis Bay, Maryland. You will use excavators and other heavy equipment to support daily operations and help maintain a productive, safety-focused work environment.

• Operate excavators to load approximately 150–200 trucks per day with dirt in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, front‑end loaders, and dozers to support daily site operations as needed.
• Perform pre‑operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
• Follow all site safety procedures and best practices while operating heavy equipment.
• Coordinate with truck drivers and site personnel to maintain a steady and organized flow of loading activity.
• Monitor material quality and loading accuracy to meet site and project requirements.
• Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational delays to site leadership promptly.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area around loading and operating zones.

• At least 5 years of experience operating excavators, specifically in loading trucks.
• Proven heavy equipment operation experience, including excavators, loaders, front‑end loaders, and dozers.
• Ability to safely and consistently load a high volume of trucks each day.
• Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures in a heavy equipment environment.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented setting.

• Any additional heavy equipment experience beyond excavators, such as loaders, front‑end loaders, or dozers, is a plus.
• Experience working in industrial, construction, or environmental plant settings is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly with drivers and team members to coordinate loading activities.

This position is based at a plant facility in Curtis Bay, Maryland, where you will primarily work outdoors or in an industrial yard environment. You will operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, front‑end loaders, and dozers to support daily operations. The standard schedule runs from 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves working around trucks, dirt, and other site materials, requiring consistent attention to safety and situational awareness in a busy, production‑focused setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
