Experienced Auto Glass Installation Technician

The Auto Glass Technician is an entrepreneurial, hands‑on professional that leverages training, industry‑leading tools, and technology to complete repairs, replacements, and recalibrations in both shop and mobile settings.

• Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently, focusing on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
• Clean customer vehicles after every job.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and complete diagnostic testing.
• Operate Safelite tools and technologies, including True Seal®, Ezi‑Wire™, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals, work order systems, and Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
• Communicate with scheduled customers in person, via text, and by phone; present, promote, and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred but not required.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license required to operate a company vehicle. Additional licenses may be required by federal, state, or local laws.
• Safelite Safe Tech™ certification required.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds; occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist body.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws; subject to in‑cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance.
• Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
• Handle chemicals, including but not limited to flammable chemicals, as applicable.
• Maintain a professional appearance, following company uniform and PPE policies.
• Adapt to scheduled days and flexible start/end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Read, write, and interpret English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (phone) and written (computer or other electronic means).
• Troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively; proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools.
• Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service, exceeding expectations.
• Maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.

• Competitive weekly pay starting at $26.50/hour; $29.50/hour as Senior Tech and $32/hour as Master Tech.
• Earn $5/set of wiper blades when added for customer safety.
• Potential for promotion within the first year.
