Lead Mechanic

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Mechanic to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility.

Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.

Estimated Pay Range: $63,816.48 - $87,753.12

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from high school diploma or possession of a GED equivalency certificate plus seven (7) years of experience performing installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

Note:

Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience.

Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. The position will require the ability to perform confined space entry and lift 50 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

This position will be open until filled. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
