We are seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis at a reputable apartment community. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of residential properties, delivering high-quality maintenance services, and maintaining resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in a variety of repair and maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general property upkeep.
With a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and service excellence, this technician will play a key role in preserving property standards and enhancing the resident living experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs, plumbing fixes, appliance servicing, carpentry, masonry, and painting
- Maintain and repair residential components such as showers, sinks, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to residents, clients, and internal teams
- Respond efficiently and effectively to resident service requests and maintenance tickets
- Prepare rental units for move-ins by completing all required make-ready tasks and quality checks
- Implement annual preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and systems
- Conduct routine grounds maintenance, including debris removal, sweeping, and light landscaping
- Support special projects and initiatives as directed by management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in apartment or property maintenance
- Proven experience in unit make-ready, residential repairs, and basic groundskeeping
- HVAC experience and valid EPA certification (Type 1, 2, 3, Universal, or equivalent) are highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required
- Must provide and maintain a personal set of basic maintenance tools
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, working independently or collaboratively
- Apartment Maintenance: 1–2 years of experience
- Property Maintenance: 1–2 years of experience
- HVAC: 1–2 years of experience (preferred)
