Responsibilities:
Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable
Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)
Punch down voice and data jacks
Install J-hooks, pathways, cable tray systems, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and MDF/IDF infrastructure, etc.
Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems
Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structured cabling layouts to complete installations accurately
Requirements:2+ years of commercial/industrial low voltage experience
Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
Experience installing J-hooks, cable tray, racks, patch panels, cabinets, and MDF/IDF infrastructure
Working knowledge of BICSI standards, cable support requirements, and quality installation practicesBICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
Must provide basic hand tools and required PPEWorking knowledge of telecom/data networks
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to job sites throughout Baltimore, Montgomery County, and Frederick, MD, and surrounding areas as project needs require
