Pays: $30-$40 hourly +$1.50 Shift differential
Maintenance Technician
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated manufacturing equipment. This role will support production uptime, equipment reliability, food safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production, packaging, conveyor, processing, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, and motor controls.
- Repair pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Read electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform equipment changeovers, setups, and startups.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Complete work orders and document repairs using a CMMS.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve equipment issues.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Respond to emergency repairs and provide off-shift support as needed.
- Technical certification, vocational training, or apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and automation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing experience.
- Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC troubleshooting.
- VFD, HMI, and industrial controls experience.
- Refrigeration, boiler, or ammonia system experience.
- OSHA safety training or related certifications.
