About the Role:
The Field Service Technician Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and guiding a team of field service technicians to ensure the timely and effective installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at various client locations across the United States. This position requires a strong technical background combined with leadership capabilities to coordinate daily operations, manage schedules, and provide hands‑on support when necessary.
The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining high standards of service quality, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. Additionally, this role involves liaising with management and clients to communicate project status, resolve issues, and implement process improvements. Ultimately, the Field Service Technician Team Lead ensures that all field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals and client expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field service technician with demonstrated technical proficiency.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a field service environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems relevant to the industry served.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to client sites across the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with team management software and field service management systems.
- Certifications such as OSHA safety training, PMP, or industry-specific credentials.
- Proven track record of improving team performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools and remote troubleshooting technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field service technicians to achieve operational excellence and meet service delivery targets.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of service calls and projects.
- Perform hands‑on technical work including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment as needed.
