Plumber Journeyman

Life Bridge Health, Inc. seeks a Union Journeyman Plumber to support safe, reliable plumbing systems across our Baltimore healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining piping, fixtures, valves, pumps, and related equipment for potable water, sanitary, storm, and specialized systems in patient-care areas. The role performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, code-compliant installations, and emergency response while coordinating with Facilities and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment across hospital facilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with water, sanitary, storm, and specialty plumbing systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure code compliance and system reliability
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to plan and complete plumbing tasks
• Coordinate with Facilities, contractors, and clinical staff to minimize disruption to patient care
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as needed
• Follow safety protocols, infection control standards, and OSHA requirements in all work areas
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment status
• Support continuous improvement and energy- or water-saving plumbing initiatives
• Mentor apprentices or helpers in proper plumbing techniques and safety practices
