You start with a safety huddle grounded in the Core Values of Core Natural Resources—Safety, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement. You review schematics for a belt line, lock out the circuit, and trace a fault through 480V distribution, across an AC drive, down to a proximity switch. By mid-morning, you’ve tuned a PLC routine, swapped a limit sensor, and brought the conveyor back online—minimizing downtime.

After lunch, you bend conduit for a new panel you’re building, confirm wiring to code, and verify controls with ladder logic. When operations surge, you safely operate equipment supporting coal transfer from rail to vessel, and you’re ready to hop into a loader or assist around a locomotive as needed.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems that power belt lines and industrial machinery across the terminal.
• Build and repair control panels; execute power distribution work at 220/480 volts; implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain AC/DC motors and drives, PLC controls, and a full range of sensors (limit and proximity).
• Read and apply electrical codes, manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints; diagnose with ladder logic.
• Conduct safety inspections and uphold OSHA Standards, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space, fall protection, hot work, mobile equipment operation, and proper PPE.
• Prevent and minimize equipment downtime through disciplined troubleshooting and rapid response.
• Cross-train and, when needed, safely operate loaders, dozers, locomotives, and cranes to support terminal throughput.
• Safely operate equipment used in the transshipment of coal from rail to vessel.

• 3+ years as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong command of industrial electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Analytical problem-solver who performs under pressure; clear written and verbal communicator.
• Hands‑on experience with PLCs and ladder logic.
• Comfort working at heights, outdoors in the elements, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license highly preferred.
