We are seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. This position is strictly commercial work; no residential HVAC work is involved.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on commercial HVAC experience, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
- Service and repair commercial air conditioning systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, boilers, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Test system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, and other HVAC equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and document completed work.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Follow all company, OSHA, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Strong knowledge of commercial heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- EPA 608 certification required or preferred, depending on position requirements.
- State or local HVAC license/certification as required.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in various commercial environments and safely handle equipment and materials.
