* Lead projects or individual work streams, taking ownership of deliverables and processes within your area of expertise.
* Provide guidance and set standards for your work and, at times, for the work of others.
* Work independently and serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
* Utilize internal tools to manage AWS-based services.
* Integrate with RESTful and GRPC APIs.
* Contribute to unit and integration testing, and play a role in maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipeline.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
* Act as a subject matter expert within one or more phases of the software development lifecycle, leading significant portions of the development process.
* Help establish best practices within your team.
* Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback on design and code.
* Take responsibility for managing technical debt in your solutions.
* Lead small project teams when required.
* Approach complex problems systematically and make informed tactical and strategic decisions.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adapt solutions as new information emerges.
* Mentor junior team members, offering support and guidance in a way that builds their confidence.
* Proactively assist colleagues and suggest improvements to team practices.
* Collaborate directly with business partners to understand their needs.
* Make decisions with an eye toward both current and future business priorities, balancing business and fiscal considerations.
* Effectively communicate business requirements and transform them into technology solutions.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of progressive experience working with Python.
* Deep hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Dynamo

DB, Application Load Balancers, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, IAM, and others.
* Extensive experience with Python frameworks and tools (e.g., Num Py, Pandas).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
* Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms (object-oriented, functional) and solid grasp of software design patterns.
* Dedication to quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery.
* Familiarity with R is highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
* Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
