Overview
GEICO is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Workday Financial Integrations team. This position is an opportunity to build from the ground up and imprint on the future by designing, developing, testing and deploying various types of integrations using the Workday core toolset. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.
Our Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge which includes Workday Financials, Integrations, PRISM, Reporting and Accounting Center.
Position Responsibilities- Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations, PRISM lineages & Accounting Center processes with financial domain.
- Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards).
- Strong technical experience with XML and XLST.
- Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT).
- Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for complex integrations.
- Expert at creating complex calculated fields.
- Experience with developing systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available.
- Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling.
- Experience architecting and designing new and current systems.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience within the Workday Ecosystem (Specifically Integrations).
- 3+ years of experience with architecture and design.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- This is a Hybrid role based out of one of the following Office Locations:
Palo Alto, CA;
Dallas, TX;
Chevy Chase, MD.
