Job Description Summary

The Specialist Software Engineer is focused on the design and delivery of technology solutions to support Financial Operations processes s includes supporting transaction processing, general accounting, treasury, and tax management functions. Our Financial Operations technical role will help define the Financial Operations ecosystem and cloud strategies, grow capabilities, and through our chosen partners implement enterprise-wide solutions by providing technology leadership, insight on new developments within the application solution space, and guidance in design, framework, and platform decisions.

• Lead analysis and complex architectural design across platforms toward the development of end-to-end solutions; translate architectural guidance into detailed technical design.
• Lead vendor resources to work collaboratively with other technology teams and functional business process owners in an agile environment
• Recommend solutions taking into account cost, business needs and technical foot print impacts
• Manage 20 to 30 applications supporting the Financial Reporting process
• Collaborate with production services to ensure applications receive necessary support
• Partner with key business users to ensure a clear functional roadmap exists and how technology will need to help enable the future vision
• Collaborate with PMO to ensure alignment with intake requests, annual execution planning and solution delivery
• Manage budget and resources necessary to complete assigned work
• Perform design and analysis for deliverables. Lead large team design sessions.
• Review vendor output and confirm deliverables and acceptance criteria is met
• Serve as a subject matter expert for a wide range of areas, applications, and technologies
• Utilize third-party software development frameworks, open-source libraries, and APIs to rapidly develop basic application solutions.
• Lead delivery teams, including contract and off-shore developers; may have supervisory responsibility over employees. Learn and keep pace with the latest advances in the field and rapidly grasp new technologies to support the environment and contribute to project deliverables.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent experience
• Six years of Core Java  experience
• Expertise in coding platforms/frameworks (e.g. .NET/C#, JAVA, OOD, OOP, Functional Programming, Spring Framework, J2EE Development, OOP, Service Oriented Architecture, Dependency Injection, and Core Architecture)
• Five years of experience and expertise in database design techniques and philosophies (e.g. RDBMS, Document, Star Schema, Kimball Model)
• In-depth knowledge of No
  
  SQL database technologies (e.g. MS Cosmos DB, Apache Cassandra, Amazon Dynamo
  
  DB)
• Three years of development experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS/Azure) utilizing various support tools (e.g. EC2, ECS, S3, Kinesis, VMs, Blob, Cosmos, Data Factory, SQL Data warehouse, ARM Templates, Event Hubs)
• Expertise in build and deployment tools - (Visual Studio, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SQL Management Studio)
• Expertise in developing distributed computing (MS HPC, Sagemaker, Spark)
• Five years of experience with integration and service frameworks (e.g. API Gateways, Apache Camel, Swagger API, Zookeeper, Kafka, messaging tools, microservices)
• Expertise with Microservices and REST based API development (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Entity Framework, IIS, Swagger, Odata, .NET API 2, .NET API Core, Auto Mapper)
• Experience leveraging continuous integration/development tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Containers, Open Shift, Kubernetes, and container automation) in a Ci/CD pipeline
• Familiarity with modern frontend development frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js, ASP.NET MVC, HTTP, HTML, JS, CSS, Ajax)
