Database Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise‑scale data warehouse and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, ETL development, batch processing, and build/release automation
, along with hands‑on experience working in Unix‑based environments
. This role plays a critical part in delivering reliable, high‑quality data for reporting, analytics, and downstream systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse and data integration solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL code for data transformation, loading, and reporting
• Work with relational and non‑relational databases including MS SQL Server, Sybase, and MongoDB
• Design, develop, and support ETL processes using IBM Data Stage
• Implement and manage batch processing and job scheduling using Control‑M
• Develop and maintain Unix and Perl scripts to automate data workflows and operational tasks
• Support production data loads, monitor jobs, and troubleshoot data pipeline failures
• Participate in Build & Release Management, enhancing CI/CD pipelines using:
  • Build Master
  • Cloud Bees / Jenkins
  • Urban Code Deploy (UCD)
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and reliability across all data processing layers
• Collaborate with BI, application, QA, and operations teams to support enterprise data needs
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

• Strong experience in SQL and Data Integration
• Hands‑on experience with database platforms: MS SQL Server, Sybase, MongoDB
• Proven expertise in IBM Data Stage ETL development
• Experience with Build & Release Management and CI/CD pipelines:
  Build Master, Cloud Bees / Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy (UCD)
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
• Experience writing and maintaining Perl scripts
• Solid experience with Control‑M scheduling and batch processing
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with enterprise data warehouse architectures
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, and metadata management
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience supporting high‑volume, mission‑critical data systems

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, production‑support environment
• Detail‑oriented with a strong ownership mindset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse or ETL development roles
