Senior Dev Ops Engineer – Baltimore, MD (HYBRID Position)

Trigyn's direct government client has a contract opportunity for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer in Baltimore, MD. Local candidates from MD, DC, or VA are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Dev Ops Engineer will lead the delivery and maintenance of mission‑critical applications and services that support government initiatives. The role focuses on .NET and Microsoft technologies, and will lead a dynamic development team.

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable .NET applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code; conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and refine requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third‑party systems and APIs.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve development processes and standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Microsoft .NET/Azure development stack – recent 8 years.
• Application Development – 5 years.
• Application Development Lead – 2 years.

• Deep experience with C#, , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Blazor, and related database transaction and decision‑support languages.
• RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, RS, etc.).
• Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of popular SDLC models, processes, deliverables, and applications.
• Object‑oriented design patterns.
• BI reporting tools such as Power
  
  BI and Tableau.
• Microsoft development platforms and tools (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc.).

• Local government experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
