Senior Dev Ops Engineer The Senior Dev Ops Engineer will lead in the delivery and maintenance of mission‑critical applications and services that support City Government initiatives. The Senior Dev Ops Engineer has a strong focus on .NET and Microsoft technologies to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high‑performance applications and will play a key role in driving our software initiatives forward.
In addition, the Senior Dev Ops Engineer must have experience implementing, customizing, and supporting popular Government SaaS applications such as, but not limited to, Accela and Open Gov. Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable .NET applications.
Code QualityWrite clean, efficient, and well‑documented code. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Requirements AnalysisCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand and refine requirements.
Technical LeadershipProvide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring best practices are followed.
Problem SolvingTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.
Performance OptimizationOptimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
IntegrationDevelop and maintain integrations with third‑party systems and APIs.
Continuous ImprovementStay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve development processes and standards.
Technical Skills- Deep C#/ and Database Transactional and Decision Support language experience.
- Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Deep experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, RS, etc)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Deep Experience with version control systems like Git as well as CI/CD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of popular SDLC models, process, deliverables, and application.
- Deep conceptual grasp of popular design patterns for object‑oriented software development.
- Experience with BI Reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and the like.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Development Platforms and tools (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Microsoft .NET/Azure development stack recent 8 year(s)
- Application Development - 5 year(s)
- Application Development Lead - 2 year(s)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Local government experience is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
