Senior Software Engineer – .NET

Location: Baltimore, MD (hybrid – 3 days per week required in office)

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST, Monday–Friday; overtime exempt.

Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 annually.

InVita Healthcare Technologies is a leading provider of specialized medical, forensics, and community care software. We build highly configurable, integrated systems that support hospitals, blood centers, donation organizations, public health labs, and forensic labs. Our solutions are used worldwide and feature built‑in compliance safeguards.

Overview: We look for a senior .NET developer who enjoys “detective work” in code. The role involves maintaining and modernizing two large, established enterprise products (over 1 M lines of code each) and mastering UI components, deep SQL stored procedures, and complex business logic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain & modernize 1M+ LOC codebases, performing bug fixes and feature enhancements.
• Develop in C# and , ensuring parity and stability across product lines.
• Write and optimize complex SQL Server stored procedures; manage data mapping for forensic accuracy.
• Build and refine Win Forms desktop interfaces using Infragistics and Dev Express.
• Implement and test business rules and Chain of Custody logic to meet federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and QA to perform root‑cause analysis of system behavior.

Requirements /

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of .NET Framework (v4.8) experience.
• Proficiency in C# and , including reading, debugging, and writing in both.
• Win Forms specialist with experience building or maintaining desktop applications.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including stored procedures and non‑ORM data handling.
• Experience with third‑party UI toolkits (Infragistics, Dev Express) is a plus.
• Comfort with large‑scale, N‑tier monolithic architecture and impact analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
• Motivation to work on software with direct public safety impact.
• Hybrid work: balanced schedule in Baltimore office for collaboration.

The pay range for this role is: $110,000 – $120,000 USD per year (Maryland).
