Location:
Baltimore, MD. This is a hybrid role with three days per week required in the Baltimore office.
Hours:
8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.
Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 annually.
About the RoleThe Senior Software Engineer participates in the entire software development lifecycle for our DNA software. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, validating, troubleshooting, and maintaining the application. You will also collaborate with internal teams on technical issues.
Essential Functions- Deliver project and program deliverables and participate in release activities.
- Lead and work in a team‑oriented environment with partners in the US, Canada, and internationally.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines while accommodating changing priorities.
- Gather product requirements and specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and develop unit and integration tests.
- Perform defect root‑cause analysis and provide resolutions.
- Provide timely support to the quality assurance team.
- Mentor other Software Engineers.
- Accurately estimate technical effort required to deliver assigned tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of .Net experience.
- Deep understanding of developing .NET using Win Forms.
- Expertise in C# and
- Expertise in database design and development with SQL Server, queries, and stored procedures.
- Experience using ORM tools such as Entity Framework.
- Experience with GIT, Jira, and Bitbucket.
- Experience using third‑party tools like Dev Extreme, Infragistics, or Telerik.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to talk or listen.
- Use of hands or fingers, handling, or feeling objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
