DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer with strong Java experience. This role focuses on knowledge management and data curation, with responsibilities that include performing ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes on enterprise-wide data. The position is part of a collaborative, well established team and offers the chance to build expertise in Ghost Machine Portable Map Reduce analytics—a valuable opportunity for professional development.
This team has recently started leveraging Claude Code AI to expedite development and engineering tasks.
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph. Therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Java/Spring Framework/Spring Boot
- Ghost Machine Analytic experience
- Portable Map Reduce (PMR) framework
- Familiarity with AVP process and represent to AVG
- NiFi and Notifier experience
- Atlassian tool suite
- Gitlab

Compensation and Benefits- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on Years of Experience)
